Venture Crew
News:
BSA Crew 507 is
focused on scuba diving and aquatics. Over a period
of two years, while still participating in high
adventure activities with the troop, crew members
complete about a dozen dives and academic classroom
modules to obtain PADI certifications for Open Water,
Advanced Open Water, and Rescue Diving.
Once a scout has
Open Water, he can start diving with the Dive Heart
Foundation to become an HSA Certified Dive Buddy.
This certification enables them to assist disabled
divers on dives they make at sites located throughout
North American and the Caribbean. Since these dives
are directed by and largely funded through Dive Heart,
the dive buddies can attend at a substantially reduced
price.
If you are at
least 15 years old and finished with your first year
of high school, feel free to call Mr. Larson at
369.8003 or e-mail at
Larsgen@aol.com for applications, schedules or details.
Scuba classes
start in early November and are limited to 8
adults/scouts per class, so don’t delay.

Venture Oath
As a Venturer,
I promise to do my duty to God
And help strengthen America,
To help others, and
To seek truth, fairness
And adventure
in our world.
|
Venture Code
As Venturer I believe
that Americas strength lies in our
trust in God and courage, strength, and
traditions of our people. I will
therefore be faithful in my religious
duties and will maintain a personal sense
of honor in my own life. I will treasure
my American heritage and will do all I
can to preserve and enrich it. I will
recognize the dignity and worth of all
humanity and will use fair play and
goodwill in my daily life. I will acquire
the Venturing attitude that seeks truth
in all things and adventure on frontiers
of our changing world. |
